Wines of Oregon dedicates this website to the Oregon wine growers and wineries that have made this an exciting time in Oregon history. We are in place to share with the world our delight with Oregon’s flag ship grape, Pinot Noir. We feel that Oregon has come of age and is the premier Pinot Noir growing region in the world. No other area in the world, except Burgundy, France in Europe, has a climate as ideal as the Willamette Valley for producing this complex, elegant red wine.
Do not let our enthusiasm for Oregon Pinot overshadow the fact that Oregon produces a wide spectrum of other delicious red wines which include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Zinfandel and many others.
Oregon’s major white varietal is Pinot Gris. Oregon has many other white varietals that you will enjoy. These include, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Muller Thurgau, Viognier and others. We also need to include the excellent dessert and sparkling wines.
To visit the Oregon wine regions, just click on the bar above. To visit the East Willamette and Eastern Oregon wine regions use the left hand navigation. We have included some links to out of state wineries because they are an excellent resource. You are no more then two clicks away from a favorite wine web site. Wine lovers should book mark this site (CTRL-D). If you are a vineyard or a winery please link to us. This helps you, your visitors, and the Oregon wine industry.
Oregon wineries are able to ship directly to consumers in 48 states and Washington, D.C. However, they face restrictions in certain regions of West Virginia, Alaska, Tennessee, and Massachusetts. Additionally, direct-to-consumer wine shipments are entirely prohibited in Utah and Mississippi, as these states do not permit such transactions. The sites to the right have online shopping carts. Just click on one of the links to the right. Some of these sites are on random rotation. Wineries that would like to sponsor a link to the right can contact Wines of Oregon.
Our title “Buy Oregon Wine & Pinot Noir Online at Wines of Oregon” just means that we research Oregon wine websites and provide links to wineries that make it easy to purchase Oregon wine on their websites. We do not sell wine on this website.
